Set up Higgsfield inside Claude in 3 steps

Higgsfield puts 30+ AI video and image models in one place. Connect it to Claude once and you generate clips by just describing the shot in a normal chat. No API keys, no separate editor. Setup takes about two minutes.

Making AI video usually means bouncing between a handful of tools and copying prompts around. Higgsfield is one place for the lot, models like Sora, Veo and Kling behind a single connection. When you connect it to Claude as a custom connector, Claude can reach every one of those models from inside any conversation: you describe the shot, Claude picks the model, fires the generation, and brings the finished clip back into the chat.

Before you start: you need a Higgsfield account and a Claude account where you can add connectors. Custom connectors live under Settings, and some plans gate them, so if you don't see the option, that's why. Generations use your Higgsfield credits.

The 3 steps

  1. Copy the connector link. Go to higgsfield.ai/mcp and copy the MCP connector URL it gives you.
  2. Add it in Claude. Open Claude (desktop app or claude.ai), go to Settings, then Connectors, click Add custom connector, paste the link, and name it Higgsfield.
  3. Sign in once. The first time you use it, Claude opens a browser to sign in to Higgsfield. Click allow, and you're connected.

That's it. Now start a chat and ask for a shot:

Try this in a Claude chat
Using Higgsfield, make me a 5 second cinematic clip of a wave breaking at sunset, slow motion, warm light. Vertical, 9:16.

Claude chooses the right model, configures it, runs the generation, and drops the finished video back into the conversation.

Using Claude Code instead? One line in the terminal: claude mcp add --transport http --scope user higgsfield https://mcp.higgsfield.ai/mcp then sign in on first use. Check it with /mcp.

Good first prompts

  • "Generate three 5-second B-roll clips of [your product] on a clean desk, different angles."
  • "Make a 9:16 talking-style intro clip for a Short about [topic]."
  • "Turn this image into a 4-second motion clip with a slow push-in." (attach the image)

What you need

  • A Higgsfield account with credits.
  • A Claude account that can add custom connectors.
  • About two minutes. No code, no API keys.

That is the setup. If it was useful, the newsletter is where I send the next one before it hits YouTube.
